What is stored?
This site’s JavaScript can store one preference when you explicitly choose a button below. It uses localStorage, a browser facility distinct from cookies. The preference stays on your device and is not automatically attached to page requests.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| polarbuddies-storage-preference | Records “accepted” or “essential” after your choice. Contains no personal identifier. | Until you clear it, replace the choice or your browser removes it. |
Your preference
Accepting records a preference only. It does not enable analytics, advertising or third-party requests because those features are not installed. Choosing Essential Only also records a preference, but installs no optional tracking. Clear Saved Choice removes the value without replacing it.

What the contact tool does not store
The local message tool does not save names, email addresses or drafts in localStorage or cookies. Drafts exist in the current page until you navigate away or close it, subject to your browser’s own page-restoration behaviour. A copied draft may remain on your clipboard, and a downloaded draft remains wherever your device saves it.
Browser and hosting behaviour
Your browser may cache pages and images to improve loading. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request records as described in the Privacy notice. Cache, server logs and localStorage are different technologies; removing one does not necessarily remove the others.
You can block storage or remove site data using your browser settings. The guides remain readable if preference storage is blocked. Storage controls can vary between devices, private browsing sessions and browsers, so a choice saved in one does not automatically apply elsewhere.
External websites
Following an external link takes you to a separate service that may use its own cookies or storage. Review that service’s notices and controls. No external content is embedded by the supplied site code.
